Hello D2JSP,

I'm wondering what the rules and potential process are/is (been unable to find it written anywhere) in regards to closing active trades and opening a new trade containing these items.

Example situation:

I have 6 individual Trading posts, and access them all, one by one, to refresh them and bump them, looking for updates.

To me it seems smarter to "merge" all these sales into one trading post, yet I am unsure if I am allowed to do this, without closing the previous trading posts.
- Adding to this, I am unsure how to close a trading post.

I hope you can help me figure out a "Best practices" sort of deal here.

Thanks in advance!

To post a new trade topic that includes items you already have an active topic for, you must wait at least 4 hours between your last post in the old topics and creating the new one.
You can simply check whether the bump button is available on all the topics for the items you want to merge into a single trade topic.

You can’t close topics. Simply stop posting in them, and if possible, edit the first post to make it clear that the topic is “completed.”

Feel free to PM me if you should have any further questions.

Hello derAmigo,

Thanks for the follow-up.

Alright - wait until everything is bumpable, then combine in new trade; got it. That's reasonable.

I notice that a few of my trading posts, I am unable to edit them; Is it this due to a time-limit on editability? I would like to be able to continually come back to original post to "scratch out" "sold" items, or remove them entirely, to indicate to new readers what is actually currently available.
- Any way to continue editing my posts?

By default you are able to edit your first post in a trade topic for 3 days. As a site customer it is 5 days, as a verified user it is 7 days: https://forums.d2jsp.org/verify.php
However, by editing your first post in a trade topic you will reset that timer. So if you remember to edit it before the 3 days are over you will reset the counter and be able to edit it for another 3 days.

This only works for the first post in a trade topic though. For a regular post it is 30 minutes by default, 1h as a site customer, 2h as a verified member.

Thank you so much for the info! That's great.
- Happy I'm able to edit continuously with some dedication. I must have missed the 3-day window on the one post ^^

Have a great weekend!
