Personally I think the new system is crap and they almost never drop in single player games where as before I was able to start new builds without juggling P7+ games. From what I remember hearing it's like 1 in 250 or 350 chance on a high level herald, which is kind of garbage design.

Ultimately we've gone back to playing only one character mostly. Before "sunders" it was sorcs and ocassional paladins once people had gear. Now it's mostly made up of lock players due to the others not being viable without sunders. The experience I've had is from HC so maybe it's different on the SC side of things and there's more variety. I understand that everyone wants to playtest the warlock, but eventually people go back to their favorite play styles. Unfortunately that won't be possible due to those play styles being extremely restricted now. Not sure how this made it past their internal beta testing since it is pretty bad.

killed dozens of heralds on 4/5. i know how it works. This info isn't exactly a revelation. It's designed to extend duration of games so people aren't spam creating, but overwhelmingly for single player it doesn't work. And the vast majority of the player base is at 1p in private games on modes like HC due to players constantly backstabbing each other.

Maybe the solution is to add a slider to multiplayer that allows up to 5p while solo, otherwise this new system is bad for overall gameplay design. Most ppl do not have discord groups running this together.
