As I am kinda ill at the moment I decided that I did not want to risk the sorc and die by mistake so I started a classic barbarian, I took him to level 25 then suddenly I thought, I should get 2 gulls at level 11 or I will regret later, so I deleted him and started a new one, several times till I found a good game. Time to explain, xD


Character no.2, Urox the Classic Barbarian.



My plan is to avoid spending points at low level and go to level 30 just by using the prerequisites to whirlwind and probably just a single point into double swing, how will I level? You will see later xD

But before that I have to find a game where I can get money to gamble and try to get daggers from racks, and there are only 2 places, the graveyard or the countess lair, in every game I try both and see if I get a good game, graveyard is not good because the wp is far from it.

This is the best game I found and started my barbarian like 20 times minimum, going to level 8 or so with each, painful having to go to dark wood via underground that many times QQ.

The wp of Black Marsh has a close house with a super chest and right next to it is the Forgotten Tower I get every blue and yellow item as long as the chipped gems and rejuv pots to sell, in my inventory I only have one mana pot a town portal scroll and one set of keys, every time I have the inventory full of magic items I use the tp, Cain and sell in Akara then back...



In the first floor there is a rack that gives daggers by approaching it in a certain way I miss often due to mobs so it is like a 50% chance to get dagger, praying for Gull.

After trying my luck there is a super chest at the end of that way, I loot it and backtrack to go to floor 2.



In floor 2 there is a superchest, I just leap if there are mobs in the middle or obstructing the entrances and loot everything, again, once full I go sell all and come back.



Then backtrack a bit and go to level 3, in level 3 there is another rack where if approached in a way and if mobs do not obstruct I can get scepters, right close to the rack there are 6 graves on the ground that give me extra rings, gems or magic items often, then I move to floor 4.

In floor 4 I just pop 3 caskets there are in a long corridor avoiding the mobs and go to floor 5 where I open all the chests of the side rooms, get the money in the ground, it is close to 600 gold counting both rooms per run and the most important, another weapon rack that gives me scepters almost every run, well, a ton of times the scepter does not have paladin skills so they give crap gold but average should be 2-3k per each counting the flops and the 5k ones




Finally gambled the first Gull after spending a total of 1.1kk gold, probably spent like 10 hours+ with all the chars... Now let's pray to be a bit luckier with the second one... Won't level up till I find it so I will post again once it happens. Wish me luck ñ_ñ




PS: It seems that magic find does not affect chests and racks or at least I see little change if none...

Second Gull, after another 1.2 millions gold...



After getting the second Gull I decided to farm Bishibosh cause I am looking for a couple of very low level items, Felloak and Hotspur, specially Felloak. After close to 2 full levels I finally got Felloak, this will be very useful for my future plans...



A real beauty...

As I got Felloak decided to try luck and gamble all my money to try to get Hotspur, if I don't get it not that a problem, probably will visit Andariel later on... Btw got Artic Furs armor from Bishibosh and I am currently wearing it.



Look what a lovely Catacombs level 2, level 3 is not very bad, so will be easy to reach her, lucky.



Andariel down, very very very useful drops, so happy...

Arctic set belt, nice, a bit bad that it only has 8 slots but that extra 40 mf is nice.



Better mace than the 2 chipped weapon I was using.



And the best one, the gloves I wanted that will add nice survivability for the low levels.

In order to start my heavy leveling plans I need to reach level 16 first, time to get some wps and let Gulzar carry me... Ok, ready, now I will level up like crazy...


Felloak is very useful for max lightning resist and in order to level up fast I will use the chocking gas potions I got from a Poison Shrine, getting them with the inventory open and you should place all of them in different inventory cells one by one, later on you sell them to the merchants and buy them back to get full 25 potions. Be careful with spending the last potion of each batch as you will lose the item, and if you run out of them you will have to look for another Poison Shrine that are hard to come...


You might think, why Felloak and not one Gull? Cause Itchies drop only potions and scrolls, so better be safe.





I will start poisoning every Itchies in Far Oasis map, skipping the other mobs, I won't use merc as I will be checking act 1 for xp shrines and once I find one I will go to Far Oasis to level up, so I would be losing the merc every time I got to act 1. Imo this should be the fastest leveling speed for barbarian low level, specially if you want to save every skill point till level 30 as I plan to.


Why? Cause I will use a find item build for a while in order to farm gear in NM, so if I used a leveling build now and reset at 30 to go whirlwind and find item then I would have to reset again after getting my gear, those are 2/3 resets leaving the character handicapped by the time I send him to LoD, so I rather save the skill points now...

Level 25 time to farm Andariel for a bit, hope to get a Crushflange or another Crushing Blow weapon if possible, Crushflange would be perfect cause of the extra fire resist for Diablo.

Oh yeah, this will be useful...

After 30 kills at last I got the mace I was looking for... I changed my strategy to kill Andariel as I was very slow, so now I just leap till the end of the room kill the mobs in the end with the choking potions then kill Andariel, crazy amount of time saved...





Time to move on...
