What are you putting your extra points into and what's your reasonings?

Having a hard time justifying any of them honestly over another. I'm starting to think for damage though, it's probably best to level up consume, no? 70% ED @ lvl 10, but I'm not really sure how it scales if I pour more points into it.

I just re-spec'd out of Levitation Mastery, as I watched MacroBioBoy's video on it and can agree, mostly useless (not much damage gain, only good if you're struggling for stat points, which I don't know how you could be). As he also said, extra points in STR = good anyway if you have to dedicate more there than VIT.

2nd for me would be Hex: Purge I guess? Not sure how this scales either and that's why I'm here making this post to get more possible info and opinions on what we should be dumping into after maxing the important stuff.

Anyone? Looking for someone who put max/lots of points into Consume to see if the buff from 70% @ level 10 is a lot higher at level 20 or something.

im trying out hex purge vs hex bane... the hex purge explosion dmg is very low and dosnt feel like its worth it. you dont gain anything from the attack speed if ur echoing strikes user anyways from the hex purge

Yeah, exactly. When you look at Levi and Purge, the benefits just don't seem worth it, as we don't even benefit from the stuff it gives. I think I'm just gonna max consume and see how much more ED it gives leveled up.

Guess I should have just put a point in it to see what it does. +5% ED per point. Seems like this would be the way to go if you want to scale your sheet DPS.

Yeah, consume seems like a no brainer actually. Gives HP, run/walk speed, longer duration of the consume and most importantly at level 25 for me now, gives 145% ED. 10-27k dmg to 14k-36k dmg after goatman is consumed.

Watched the MacroBioBoy video too, and he says that ED is heavily diluted, but it really isn't as diluted as he makes it out to be unless you have godly gear, since like you're seeing the 145% ED from consuming goatman gives you a pretty good boost even though it goes in the exact same ED bucket as levitation mastery, so you'd probably get just about a good of a damage boost from having kept levitation mastery though the life and run/walk of consume is probably more useful
For me though, I've recently took to dumping it all until Blood Pact after reading this thread https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=108105095&f=148&o=0 (tl;dr only hard points count towards the skill's damage reduction) and it's made a huge difference in tankiness. I've been having trouble capping resistances without anni/torch while maintaining mf but now I have so much effective HP maybe I don't even need to lol

Hm, interesting. I'd definitely take survivability over damage at this point with the build. Even my old damage (10-27k, was more than enough to kill things and my gear/build isn't even all that. No enigma, no charms, anni/torch. I have level 29 skills with all my gear + 20 pts)

Wish I knew this before dumping all my points into more dmg lol
