very true
even consume is OP
when you consume low level defiler i get -10% fire res on top of my free conviction demon and -40% fire res from apocalypse as well as +15% fire skill damage and life boost, i'm literally clearing hell with a spirit sword, pcrow, vmagi, and rares from normal day 1 of reset still.
don't get me wrong, im glad blizz is bringing new life to diablo but im starting to think about "if it aint broke, don't fix it" old d2 was almost perfect imo, if they just polished that up it would've been better imo
tryin not to sound like a boomer but this change wasn't needed
but thats just me
Its a common enough game design failure, they made their new shiny product by stapling as many statistical/mechanical effects as possible into it and overlapping as many passive buffs as they could
If you play a sorceress your passive effects are;
>warmth, a cold armor, thunderstorm, blaze, enchant
most minor, some don't help you at all depending on build, in fact most builds won't need to bother with any of the 5
then its just teleport + damage skill that benefits from mastery and that's it
On a warlock you're getting:
>holy freeze or conviction aura
>amp damage free casted on everything
>2nd mercenary in +damage and tanking
>50% damage splashed to 4 extra targets
>+195% ed / +6% crushing blow
>+39% max life
>+43% efrw
>whatever % redirected damage just blocked by blood oath
>+25 mana/life after each kill
>-33% damage dealt by enemies hit
>255 damage shield that stuns melee attackers
>whatever the fuck eldritch blast is actually doing
>% ed / % ar / % crit
>-% weapon reqs
>aoe buff for giving enemies -35%dr / -47% defense / -50% slow
and that's not even counting deathmark + engorge being temporary buffs you can apply to your minion and reduce enemy defense even further
