I see many different guides, Macroboiboi uses Hex: Purge, Llama uses Levitate, and someone on here said use consume demon.

Can someone give me a breakdown of which is best? I feel like Hex: Purge is the worst one and thats the path i went lol. I still have 2 rerolls and im lvl 90 but my life is only 1.1k prebuffed.

Any help would be appreciated with a breakdown as of why.

For reference, i use a meaty Eth CV Insight, and will probably switch to a Fort in something similar.

Purge is magic damage. Magic damage is not greatly increased by amplify damage, a curse that you can get easily in all your enemies thanks to your binded demon. You can get crazy high physical damage with just a random eth cv insight.

yeah im running hephisto with curse fanat and a might merc right now.

Wondering what to max with my remaining skills. Levitate, a hex, or consume.

cursed + holy freeze/shock/fire is much better than fanat. insta amp proc

It seems that the most optimal way to do it is some levitate and some consume. I just went full levitate, and i don't want to farm another hephasto just for a measly 2k more damage when i already have 100k

you don't need to have more than 1 point into the hexes when you're lategame and you just use 1 point hex siphon for its MAEK/LAEK
all your damage will be physical and you'll still OHKO everything

insight, ondals & obsession are the three candidates for bis weapon, your eth insight will do just fine
You can probably build a much tankier and higher QoL build with obsession + stormshield + tgods and still hit 125 fcr and kill everything in 1 hit and have max block / dr / stacked resists

bis weapon for damage is ariocs needle. BIS for fcr is fort tmaul.

All that said, eth cv insight is best of all. Good damage, easy to hit 125fcr and good qol with meditation.

Just do levitation with your extra points imo. Doesn't hurt to get more crit. Also the lowering of your weapon requirement can make it so you don't need to stat any Dex and can put that towards more Vit if not going for max block

This is what I've done and lvl 90 p8 TZs are fine with a no enigma build. I don't even put a hex on usually

well the best in slot weapon is not the same as best in slot for damage, because the build very obviously kills everything in 1 hit at some point so excess damage is pointless
question comes down how much is it worth having self-held insight vs insight on merc
pride on merc is a big damage boost that has your merc deal no damage / lifesteal and overwrite demon amp, insight on merc is pretty good qol

Fort tmaul is very clearly going to underperform other options like ondals/obsession. Its only 25% fcr so you need to sacrifice more glove/shield/ammy/ring slots to hit 125, you are only getting +639 weapon damage when ondals is +130 damage / +4 skills / +20% ds which winds up way higher damage
