made a quick hero edited barbarian
phase blade white
4 socket armor, 3 socket shield, 3 socket helm with 10x jewels that all had 300% ed, +1-2 min/max damage, 100 str, 136 dex, rest vita, no other gear

31-35 damage, 1200ed 4-8 armor, 2x 900 ed / 3-6 in helm/shield, 100% ed from str
if bug doesn't exist it should be (31+35+10+20)/2*(1+1+30) = 1536 average damage per hit
if bug does exist then it will be a (31+35+10+20)/2*(1+1) = 96 average damage per hit

tried it out.
char screen displays 82-110 damage per hit
struggled to kill a p1 hell fallen (1600 hp, 15% dr, 9% block, 44% chance to hit). Could barely damage it through its regeneration

%ed/min/max glitch still exists and putting this jewel in anything but a weapon will waste its % ed entirely

Damn, was going to put this jewel in a mephistos book. Well, it was just for style. No need for more damage.

I know the order of affixes matters, but there's a good chance that would actually completely negate the %ed on the book and the jewel
Could still be worth using stone in helm slot and just disregard the %ed on it, assuming warlock is using an obsession or insight build. If its an ondals build you can choose Lo in staff or socket it with the stone, but the %ds is probably better

ok so now my 2nd question. Would the +10-35 magic damage +10% magic damage jewel mess up a barbarians zerk if socketed in a helm like hellwarden's will

It really shouldn't they are completely different affixes and damage calculations but you might want to test it
There's also the question if +% magic damage works, we didn't have that before and berserker is a skill that converts physical damage to elemental damage
Cold arrow for example converts physical damage to cold damage, but does not work with +% cold damage (which only applies to its added +cold damage)

I believe based on that, +% magic damage should NOT work with berserk, but -% enemy magic resist will. Which makes it pretty obvious which version of the jewel you want, since that would be better anyway

Oh man. I have building building up all these +magic damage% items for if i ever xfer over my bvc. They might all not work haha. The -enemy magic res should be the only thing I really care about. I will have to do some more research to see if a jewel like guardian's light affects the berzerk character screen damage

The -% phys res and mf/exp would still make it good for a helmet, however its a shame.

Because for barb theere is no unique that comes remotley close to grief or death

So sock it into offhande like azurewarth would be bugged as well if i understood correctly

I like how Blizz will fix all the 'bugs' no one asked them to touch, and yet they still can't fix this one. I'd bet this new team of modern devs doesn't know it even exists. lol
