My ex-puppy never choked on any bones but once, she swallowed a long that was still intact, and as it passed through her rear-end, she yelped big time. My mom thought my dad was messing with her.

Nah, that wasn't paranoia. why would it be? puppies yelp all the time, especially when people mistreat them (not saying that my dad would ever mistreat my ex-puppy)

My ex-puppy is probably in puppy-heaven now. If she is still alive, she will be roughly 20 years old.
