I am hardcoreXcasual sometimes gamer and I dont give into this shitty kind of thinking.
A casual with have over 1 month, lets say 1 hour a day, total 30h of gameplay.
If he cant have the same items as a 30h hardcore gamer makes in 2 days with straitght 15hx2 , what sense does this make ? None.
Think about it.
I wanna be able to have every minute count, not only X minute added to X minute, straight.
If I only have 15 mins to play, or 1h, I want to have the same odds as if I play 15 hours straight. That is how it has always been
My ETH Mangs Songs - rarest unique odds in the game, I found on the first unique mob of the session after 4 days not playing. And before that I had 40+ hours without any serious find.
That is the kind of thrill I want to get. Being able to find an item on the first mob I kill. Just odds playing their thing. Not adding up to some retarded mechanic like heralds are.

You're still able to find your eth mang Song in the first monster you kill. Nothing changed in that matter.

And every gamer will, eventually, have one afternoon to just play. Save your shards to those moments. The only thing that changes staying in 1 game or 1000 is improving sunder drop, not other itens...

I do agree tho that every herald should have the chance to drop the sunder, even a super low one, improving the odds as you ire the herald till the cap on helard 5 I think...

I'm not sure if this is the case today, tho, already saw people saying different things in this aspect and not sure whoch is true...

I know I can still drop my Eth Mangs Song on the first mob.

I can not drop a Latent Sunders on the first mob tho. Thats the whole thing.

So far I have only farmed ~4h of TZ because am on holiday far from home and have seen only 1 Herald. Not sunder ofc. It is part of D2, it feels like D2 still. But knowing that I have to "overfarm" the whole game to "stack up" the heralds doesnt feel like D2.
A casual who has only 1 hour a day to play the game might see 1 herald per week at most. And that does not take into account RNG. It is some stacking retarded mechanic that incentivises no life gameplay
Thats not what I want for my D2.

alot of people seem to forget why sunders were introduced in the first place.

the item drop rates are backwards. finding a plain -90% sunder should be relatively easy once you're farming hell somewhat efficiently.

finding the mats to make a renewed sunder should be the challenging part.

the way it is now, all the old builds that were s-tier without a sunder are s-tier again. everything else suffers. and this is the opposite of what sunders were intended to do.

I think you can, already. At least some people said so, not sure.... but the chance is just super low on herald 1... if this is not the case, I do agree tho that it should be.

Sunders were made to make all builds end game viable, not to be easy.... I think how easy sunders used to drop were the problem when they first released it and now they are just fixing. Hybrids and unoptimal builds are part of the ladder to get your end game gear.

hyb builds force you to only p1 and then you get punished by awful xp and drop rates

The first mob I kill will never be a herald. Ergo, I can not drop a Latent from first mob kill. Unlike OG sunders which could drop from the first mob kill (TZ but still first mob -considering you snipe uniques/champs)

so according to you, end-game only starts after you get a sunder? see the problem with this mentality?
