Yes, you can also get champion versions of them in Izuals area


I haven't been in uber areas in like a decade. They're only not immune to physical right?

Can you bind the immune to basically all venom lords in uber trist?


I think you can get unique packs of them in furnace of pain only, right? So you can get a cursed+aura version of them. They'll stay 145% immune to everything but physical, but you can't make them physical immune with stone skin/etc but they should go up to 79% dr just by being bound + engorge since it gives +29%
Unfortunately while they're the tankiest mob in the game they're also quite impotent, they waste time using inferno that deals basically 0 damage, and otherwise have same 25k damage normal attack but only hits a single time
There's also a question of whether they're even the best tanks because vile mothers aren't immune / astronomical hp but they will spawn 5 vile children that follow you around as free meat shields like an auto-recasting spirit wolf team, but the vile children are also very low hp/damage (no bind buffs, just battle orders/etc)

The difference between a lvl 20, assuming base lvl 1 and pumped up by items, and 50 bind demon is not big right ?

Yeah like that, but as you see stone skin (and all the other enchants) won't give their bonus at all if the unique has 2+ immunities already, so its just 2x the base defense.
Cold immunity is nice to have because of the slow %, and poison immunity prevents it disabling regen, but fire/light/magic really don't matter when a demon has 500k+ hp. And all get fire immune if you have flickering flame on merc.
I still haven't found any ranged demons that carry their physical attack added to range damage, they all have just base missile damage with no bonuses at all so might as well be 0 damage on all ranged options.

Its a bit interesting you CAN bind defilers even though you can't revive them as a necro. They won't use impregnate though, so no pain worms. Though they do use the silly melee attack. You can bind pain worms at least. Can't bind festering appendages from baal.
At least normally, some people are reporting a glitch that lets you bind non-demons which presumably might let you bind anything, and I'd love to get some unique festering appendages going

It has quadratic scaling on damage and linear scaling on HP, the higher the skill level the more +base damage and +% ed and +% life, and the +base damage and +% ed multiply
The level 60 bind demon here has +1718 damage / +1269% ed / +1905% life with extra strong/might aura. Even if it had 0 base damage that's 23.5k added
If you had just level 20 bind demon / 20 mastery after +skills (and extra strong + might) it would be +558 damage / +729% ed / +715% life, which is only 4.6k added

So the 1 base point and some +skills items will get you a demon with super high hp and aura+curse but only about 1/5 of the damage you'd get on the full maxed out build with +6 dagger / +6 book / etc

How would the urdar/blunderbore compare with its CB + smite attack and double hp regen? (I think they have double hp regen??maybe)

I wonder if the +damage from bound demon skill levels work like the +damage on grief for urdars smite

well shit I remembered lilith is immune to poison so I'd need open wounds to disable regen so I went after izual instead and uh
turns out she easily outpaces his regen in P1, no ow/poison necessary. And I just had to FARM rancid gas pots to dupe them because they aren't in the editor properly >.<

Well the problem with all the smite users (overseer, urdar, lister) is that unlike paladin smites its blockable. So its just a +% damage / ar & stun timer, which doesn't mean much
Urdars indeed have the highest regen for demons though at 2.44%/s, all the higher regen mobs are non-demon. And they have 25% cb but it means nothing with damage this high
The +damage should work the same as it does on grief either way since you're just getting +base damage, the only reason it matters for smite is normally that's locked to shield min/max but +damage is one of the few things that helps, whereas monster smite affects their normal attack damage anyway

If any other mob had an unblockable or 2+ hit attack it would be useful since act bosses have ~50% block and all the demons will pause 15 frames between attacks
