they basically use a necromancer teeth that has 5 blades and also returns back to the user that deal 100k+ physical dmg each


Will you be able to survive a blizz? Trying to catch a sorc with 48 fcr no res no sorb no summon no merc and no mana on that build ?

Did some offline testing with blood boil
This is what my tooltip was saying (+3 base void, ars baal, +3/20/2 circlet, +2 ammy, 2x soj, arach, magefist, 8x skillers, torch, anni, cube- so I could get another +2 skills from charm & ammy, and had 3 facets total no guardian jewel);

Honestly for PvP's sake I'm kind of happy to report the tooltip is lying
The blood boil radius is definitely not 22 yards, which would be ~2 screen radius (level 30 holy shock on auradin is 23.3 yards)
Instead blood boil seems to have a range comparable to nova, centered on each demon, and based on damage I'd guess only hitting each target once even if in range of multiple demons but I'd like to make sure about that
No way to test exact numbers but I'd guess actual radius of blood boil is more like ~8-10 yards. Its clearly failing to hit targets just outside of a nova-ish range from demons

Of course, you can still hit at any range with death mark -> blood boil and you're already teleporting around with 2-3 tainteds spamming fireballs for 36k+ damage (I was using consume tainted in that tooltip, but you could just go 3x, idk)

And just to confirm some brief testing yeah
Blood boil is only hitting once per cast regardless of number of demons, they just extend overlapping, exclusive aoes, rather than hitting multiple times per cast
consume buff appears to work fully with the damage, with a consumed tainted I go from 3-shots on shenk with no resist mods to 2-shots (testing without conviction)
I don't think tainted actually deal as much as they claim to on tooltip. Listed 35826-39606, but it takes ~6 hits to kill non-resist shenk while my blood boil is doing it in 3, though I have -15% resists with no consume buff. Shenk should have ~19k hp / 33% fire resist / 40% dr. My guess is that "36k" tainted is actually dealing closer to 6k damage. In general Diablo II's base summon system never applies +% enhanced damage to elemental skills on NPCs, or on players for that matter, so I was a bit dubious about whether demonic mastery is actually affecting tainted at all like it claims on the stat screen. Since it claims +500% damage and displays +500% on the tainted, but appears to deal 1/6 of the listed damage, my guess is that demonic mastery does not actually apply anything to tainted. Or defilers since they don't attack. So just goatmen, probably, I mean they melee attack. This would be easy to test if I were bothering to respec the char like edit in some mass tokens, I bet defiler damage is 6k with 1 point or 20 points in mastery

I want to test blood oath next because it sure seems like its indeed basically making you immune to physical damage, I'm just taking chip damage from monsters who deal some partial elemental damage


So yeah my guess at the moment is a lot of warlock skills are still hideously overpowered but NOT anywhere close to as broken as it displays in the lying tooltips. Tainted should be OHKOing everything and blood boil should be doing what stacked auradins did in 1.10, and that's by blizzard's own intended numbers, and even with the 'nerfed' versions its still like an absurdly better version of Tornado druid or TS sorc. I mean holy shit the best act 1 mercs dealt 6k damage, got nerfed to 3k damage, and now you can have 3x tainted that deal 6k each except they're """supposed""" to deal 36k each

middle tree dmg is broken, hex:bane enables mirror/echoing to 1 shot with just magic dmg, and echoing is very strong dmg wise even without bane
summon tree is very bugged
blood oath only counts hard points towards DR
tainted synergy blood boil isn't working at all(tooltip says 35k, in reality it does 5k)
blood boil range is very inaccurate(says 20+, is like close to 0)
cleave is very slow and avoidable
fire skills are slow/unviable in 1v1 at least, could cast them from the moon and avoid being hit, the aoe fire ring can knockback is cool but the damage is too low to be pvp viable outside of CC

but honestly all of that is irrelevant, in terms of pvp the real broken ability is abyss, it's 10x better than anything else the warlock has, it's the best pvp skill in the game
