And that's what valentines day really is.

Damn right. If anyone wanted to bring reality into the situation, Valentine's Day is mostly just pain and stress for everyone involved.

Is Valentine's Day stressful?

I mean I read that happened to you/your social circle and I get that one but I don't seem to see people stressed out about Valentine's Day like they do for other commercial holidays

You're totally right they aren't as stressed as commercial holidays IMO either. I'm just saying that there is typically at least ONE person that is gonna be stressed about everything going perfectly on Valentine's Day. I shouldn't have said "stress for everyone involved" as that doesn't apply to as many people. In MOST man/woman relationships, the man is probably going to be doing a buncha nice stuff for the woman and will be worried about everything going right.

That's valid and I accept that
I know I could personally give a shit less if I actually got anything but I have met plenty of women who would be totally offended if they didn't

Yeah, many women feel like total failures (just like some men do) if they get nothing for Valentine's Day. They are brainwashed into believing they must be desired by someone. If they aren't desired, they must be so flawed that no one wants them. Men can behave the same way, but I find it much more common with women. I've only ever seen one man upset about Valentine's Day and he wasn't a male that desired females.

Lol, it's funny you said that about chocolate. I was randomly in a grocery store earlier today to get some stuff. I didn't see any Valentine's Day stuff (I didn't look for it), but I still ended up getting cookie baking mix. I think subconsciously, I wanted some chocolate myself too for Valentine's Day. xD

EVERY time I get cubes or premade mix, I always end up consuming it in dough form and it's never baked. I just keep it in the fridge and munch on it here and there. LAST TIME I got dough cubes, I got the Nestle Toll House ones and they were fantastic.
