A couple close calls, never saw a pair of gloves or a knife in the roll, only got 2 decent guns

In CS:GO / CS2, there’s no fixed number — it’s all probability.
The typical chance of getting a knife (Extraordinary item) from a case is about 0.26% (roughly 1 in 385).
So:
Average (expected value): about 385 cases to get 1 knife on average.
~50% chance of getting at least one knife:
≈ 266 cases
~90% chance:
≈ 885 cases
~95% chance:
≈ 1,150 cases
Important: it’s pure RNG. You could get one in 5 cases… or open 2,000 and still get none.

every time i tried i got one every 150-250 cases lol and they were all shitty. just buy what you want imo.

and there is no buildup, every case is individual odds



you can't get baited by a gold anymore, they removed that like 10 years ago =(
ive opened... many... only gotten 1 red, 0 golds... im past the odds to get a gold, should have gotten at least 3 more reds by the odds... *shrug* gamba is gamba, never expect any wins
