Those foundation beginners boxes were amazing, good purchase IMO. If you want another way of playing Magic without dumping a ton of money into the game, look up the Tabletop Simulator mods people have made - you can upload your decklists on a whim, load them up and play. They even have little shortcuts to do basic game actions like untap, draw and mill cards

Yeah except it wasnt the kid i tried to get to play with me it was my 16yr old daughter lol! she now has her own commander deck and makes her attempts on my winning streak against her on occasion

As long as you're not playing giga control decks, they'll eventually get there. My friend taught me how to play with 60 card decks, and he'd play a stacked mill / counter deck, so I couldn't learn how the game worked because I never saw anything resolve

i use precon against her she has the Dance of the elements from the newer bloomburrow and I use the FF10 precon with tidus and yuna.. she doesnt get my bracket 4 Mazirek deck haha wouldnt be fair.

Definitely check out commander events at the LGS. It is a good way for sure
