1. Is the identification / addition to the Chronicle based on dropped items only? What if I traded an Unid Griffon and then IDed it after?
2. "All players in the game at the time of identification receive credit" - Can I join a friends game right before they ID the item to get the progression too?
3. How does RW chronicles work? Is it for when you make the item (vs. trading it)? Does the progression also work if someone else makes the RW while I am in the same game?
4. You mention it is account based, any way to reset it (if I wanted to do a fresh grail run for fun)?
5. Does the Unique chronicle include Charms / Jewels (e.g. Gheeds, Anni, Different Type of Torches, Different Type of Facets, new pinnacle Facet)?

There are now 3 versions of the game

Classic
Lord of Destruction Expansion (LOD)
Reign of the Warlock (RotW)
As with Classic were you can convert into Expansion, you can convert to RotW from Expansion, but not the other way around.
All versions can be played independently. However, RotW requires purchasing the new DLC.

• Gems, Runes, Rejuvenation Potions, Keys, Organs, Essences, Tokens, the new Statues, and Shards can all stack up to 99.

3. Loot Filter

• The Loot Filter gives you full control over how items appear, letting you highlight the drops you care about most.
  
• It affects which items appear when holding the ‘Alt’ key.
  
• You can create your own filters, share them with friends, or use community-made presets. These filters are simple, flexible, and built directly into the game. PC players can easily share and link filters with others.

4. Terror Zones

• Each area now always has a special enchantment applied to all monsters, visible above the area name on the right side of the screen. It rerolls every new game.
  
• Terror Zones now rotate every 30 minutes instead of every hour.
  
• In Hell difficulty, a new elite type called Heralds of Terror appears. Each Herald encountered within a game increases in difficulty.
  
• When an Act Boss becomes terrorized, they can drop one of five statues. Combining these statues unlocks the Pinnacle bosses (Colossal Ancients). More details in section 6.
  
• New zones have been added, and some existing ones have been combined. I will post the full list separately.
  
• Shards now drop in Terror Zones. Right‑clicking a shard terrorizes the entire Act for that game.

5. Sunder Charms (reworked)

• The original Sunder Charms still exist, but new versions called “Latent Sunder Charms” have been added. These drop only from Heralds of Terror in TZs.
  Latent Sunders always roll with the worst possible negative resistance penalty, but they can now be crafted into significantly stronger charms.
  
• Each crafted Sunder will roll one option from each of the following categories:
  Faster Run/Walk, Faster Hit Recovery, or All Attributes
  Life or Mana
  Magic Damage Reduced or Damage Reduced
  Magic Find or Gold Find
  Enemy Resistances or Skill Damage (Bone Break uses Enhanced Damage)
  
• Crafting recipes:
  Flame Rift: Perfect Ruby + Io + Deep WSS
  Crack of the Heavens: Perfect Topaz + Fal + Southern WSS
  Cold Rupture: Perfect Sapphire + Lum + Eastern WSS
  Rotting Fissure: Perfect Emerald + Ko + Northern WSS
  Bone Breaker: Perfect Amethyst + Pul + Southern WSS + Northern WSS + Deep WSS
  Black Cleft: Perfect Diamond + Mal + Western WSS
  WSS refers to the Shards mentioned earlier, dropped in Terror Zones.

6. Colossal Ancients (Pinnacle bosses)

• These bosses are significantly stronger than anything previously encountered in Diablo II.
  
• Depending on which of the three Ancients you kill last, they drop one of two unique jewels for that Ancient — six total. Only one of these jewels can be equipped per character.

8. Master the Chronicle (Holy Grail Counter)

• A new feature automatically tracks all Unique items, Set items, and crafted Runewords you obtain.
  
• When you identify an item, an animation confirms it has been added to your Chronicle tab. You may discard the item afterward if you wish.
  
• The Chronicle records when and where the item dropped. All players in the game at the time of identification receive credit.
  
• This means up to 8 players can farm different areas simultaneously and still progress each other's Chronicle entries.
  
• The Chronicle is account based, not per character.
  
• You can unlock the following rewards:
  All Unique Items: Backlight
  All Set Items: Footsteps
  All Runewords: Portal

9. Mosaic removed from Ladder Reset, more to come

• Mosaic is being removed from ladder and the redesign is coming soon.
  Depending on how well the Expansion does, the developers have stated they have a lot more changes prepared to launch including improving underpowered items in the game, adding additional items, and more!
