The first mistake in "victim testimony" is assuming those testifying are victims. We've seen the whole setup now, and Epstein was soliciting young girls for sex and some like Giuffre turned around and recruited more young girls for Epstein. If the line between victim, abuser, prostitute and matron wasn't blurred, we'd be talking about how Ghislaine Maxwell is some poor innocent victim of Epstein.
The FBI investigated and looked into all the claims by those involved, including all the girls. This is the result: Epstein was just a rich pedo trying to get girls for himself. He wasn't running sex trafficking for the rich and powerful, nor blackmailing them, and in fact the FBI found instances where men sought sex with Epstein's girls and were rejected, and instances where Epstein shut down attempts by girls to blackmail men. Why is it so hard to believe in the most mundane, occam's razor answer?
It is difficult for me to believe. I guess that’s because the stories we’ve been telling for years now say the opposite. Obviously all the evidence we’ve seen, as you say, does point to that simpler explanation though.
If he was a professional blackmailer as everybody has believed this whole time… where are the blackmail files? Now, obviously there is a way to account for this—to dig the conspiracy deeper. And it’s not out of the realm of possibility. Anyone with half a brain knows that conspiracies happen at every level of humanity, from poor drug-addled degens to the highest reaches of government and wealth. The existence of conspiracy is a fundamental fact of human organization. But whether or not there is any reasonable excuse for continuing to believe in this specific conspiracy is very difficult to say.
It seems much likelier to me now that if Epstein was purveying underage prostitutes to wealthy people, he was doing it to curry favor and not to secure blackmail potential. The idea that many of the most powerful people in the world were falling into this trap at all always seemed almost cartoonishly unbelievable though. And where are the guys that were offered and refused? Lol there isn’t a single one?
Time to disregard all victim accounts and run interference. Please email all this to congress immediately so they can stop their investigation.
"Deeh what victim testimony? That can easily be faked. Cant believe women these days anyway."
Women are people. In this case they are also strangers to you. You must use cautious skepticism to determine whether or not to believe people in every case independently. You cannot “believe women” obviously, because this is general and precludes the ability of women to lie or to be wrong.
This requires investigation, it does not imply that investigation should stop. The problem is that we(including me) will likely never fully believe the result of any investigation, no matter who is leading it. We are hungry for a conspiracy so massive that it is almost impossibly unlikely and we will not be satisfied by anything less.
