Embiid even at lesser mobility these days still clears Jokic defensively by a million and one miles and that's sad.

Lukka is by the far the most useless slob. Guys 6 foot 7 at PG and plays slightly better defense than Mugsy Bogues.

Having a center who cant protect the paint or provide rim protection is worse than a guard who can't defend.

Fsir but jokic is still.much better at defending relative to Luka. Also not being able to guard the opponents play maker and guy who sets up the offense is pretty brutal.

Jokic is regularly targeted in the playoffs at the rim. Teams find ways to go at him intentionally. He has really good hands which salvages some defensive stats (spg) but he just doesn't deter anyone AT the rim. He is a piss poor rim protector and he has slow feet out in space. It's just physical limitations though, he's a smart defender and if he wasn't built like a baked potato he'd probably be a really good defender which would be unfair considering how godly his offense is.

I'm just glad the Houston Rockets won. Remain in the 4th seed and keep pace with the Nuggets for the 3rd seed. I know the OKC Thunder were undermanned but the Rockets still had to beat them on the road. Rockets also trailed by 15 points in the 2nd quarter and OKC's backups were just running them out of the arena up until halftime.

Thankfully the Rockets woke up in the second half and won the game by 6 points, 112-106. After getting embarrassed back in Houston by the lowly Hornets and undermanned Celtics the past two games. We couldn't even beat Boston at home missing their two best players so it wasn't a given they'd beat OKC without their best players. Rockets were actually +3.5 underdogs in today's game at OKC.

I'll just be glad if the Houston Rockets make it to the playoffs as a 2nd, 3rd or 4th seed. Just avoid the 7 to 10 Play-In Tournament.
And perhaps, a long shot for sure but not impossible, Fred VanVleet will return for the playoffs. But Steven Adams is out regardless.
