I get that. I've been on meds in the past for depression so I know how they make you feel. It sucks. Have you talked to your doctor about it and see if they can adjust the dosage or the time of day you take them?

I'm not a doctor, but I would like to work in the Psychiatric field. I deal with Bipolar Disorder with psychotic features and been on meds for over 10 years. I've played the "maybe I'm better and can stop meds" game a few times myself. It always ends in worsened symptoms and starting 2 steps behind.

If you're unhappy with your meds, talk to your psychiatrist about trying something else, but be mindful that it takes at least 6 weeks before you start to see/feel improvement.

My ex-wife was schizophrenic. I get it. The meds they give you cause extreme lethargy. Right now your illness is speaking for you. Schizophrenia affects the prefrontal cortex which is involved in planning and decision making. You are making some really poor plans my friend. Maybe see your psychiatrist, the sooner the better.

ive been on few kinds of meds since 6 years. now im on two for depression and schizo from like 2 years. its Fluanxol and Dulsevia in EU dont know how they named in US but im sure You got them too. best i felt was on Zolafren but i was getting fat fast from those so we changed them sadly. i visit my doc every 3 months and im going to him at the end of next week. he does not take much $ and i trust him and i know that thers no meds that would make me feel "normal" with my diagnosis. heck he would say no to my "test" as every psychiatrist would. i might ask him are there any other i could try . Xanax would be perfect i dont want to land in hospital .... hate them with "real" psychos. i only been in hospital once at start for 2 weeks but that was before i started to take meds and i was on amphetamine and did not sleep from 4 days i ran from home and landed 700 km from home taking train to random places and that was worst psychosis i could imagine when You hear everyone want to kill You. police took me to hospital but i did not have insurance so docs did not care to much about me and i could leave after 2 weeks. i dont want this to reapeat but luckly i dont take drugs since then. only beer sometimes

Xanax is good for emergencies but not good long term as you build a tolerance really quick. Amphetamines will most see definitely make the psychosis worse. I know it sucks not having any energy and sleeping all the time but you gotta choose the lesser of two evils. As far as I know, schiz.\nOphrenia isn't one of those that can be treated with natural products. Maybe go back on them until you're able to talk to your doctor next week. Explain how they're making you feel sleepy all the time and see if there's anything they can do to fix that problem. It's your life.I'm just throwing some helpful recommendations
