For me, I think Dawn of the Dead (2004) and Shaun of the Dead (2004) were both pretty top-notch. Resident Evil (2002) and Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) were acceptable too.. Cockneys vs Zombies (2012) is a little hidden gem too...

For a TV show, I have never seen anything to come close to how amazing Walking Dead (2010) is (and a couple of its spin-offs). I just finished watching Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020) and it was OK, but pretty slow during the first season (it's only two seasons). Fear the Walking Dead (2015) was cool too... There are so many others too.......

What zombie show/movie is your favorite? Is it one of the ones I mentioned, or something else?

Shaun of the dead is the best. Dawn is good too, been a long time since I've seen it though. I don't watch a lot of zombie stuff.

The Last of Us: is my fave.
It Follows: is sort of a Zombie movie, but with only one zombie, well a sort of a follower zombie
REC: a foreign film from 2007 is awesome, too

I'll just list those three as there are too many. And, I may not be able to sort out which is better as I love most horror, zombie, and gore films.

Does Nekromantiks count or do they have to come back to life?

Ah, yeah. That's another great one. 28 Days Later was OK, but I definitely liked 28 Weeks Later more.

I watched 28 years later. It was okay. I hear that Bone Hunter's or whatever is okay though.

The genre is kind of dead for me though. No pun intended.

Not exactly zombie but the newest Frankenstein was actually quite good in my opinion. Probably one of the best versions of Frankenstein I've seen.
