You are applying mental gymnastics and making guesses on how a contradiction might not be a contradiction. When I point out how Jonah cannot survive inside a belly of a great fish your "critical thinking stops and you go straight to "because magic". When the bible talks complete nonsense where you can't even begin to rationalize it you will claim its just a metaphor or a figuire of speech.
This is confirmation bias disguised as critical thinking.
Critical thinking and confirmation bias are opposing forces in decision-making and information processing. Critical thinking involves objectively evaluating evidence, questioning assumptions, and considering multiple perspectives, confirmation bias is the tendency to seek, interpret, and recall information that supports pre-existing beliefs while ignoring contradictory evidence.
Why are you pointing out Jonah to me? I was only going to answer the Genealogy part. I do find it ironic that I can always bring out a Bible verse to describe you exactly, thus bringing more evidence to the trustworthiness of the Bible.
You want physical evidence? Go look in a mirror.
Psalm 14:1-3 NIV.
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
