For the more senior and professional players, do you look forward to updates? Is there anything that would bring more appeal to this niche title? I know a lot of players contend the game has gotten more challenging and less “fun.”

Any changes on the horizon that could swing that pendulum? I’m just a casual player (~2-3 years now), so am always interested to see how Ladder Slasher evolves.

I would love updates but it's been almost 2 years. And the last update had a good bit of nerfs overall. I'd say that's part of the reason I'm burned out right now. Others might say the same.

Not interested in updates. Most of them just nerf the drops further while introducing monster abilities that do things like reset your ability stacks to effectively nerf the player directly as well.

Been some time since there was an update that introduced anything that added to the "fun" element of the game. Would prefer it remain as is rather than suffer yet more and more nerfs.

The creator of the game could have an amazing game, but he doesnt listen or interact with the community. A few bad apples pissed him off and he hasn't been back since. Most of the ones who pissed him off doesn't even play anymore.

It sounds like there’s a lot of history here.

The barriers to entry do appear rather high if you’re just starting out, so I’m sure that’s a major factor as well.

Game hasn't had an update in a year 1/2, the usual seems to be every two years. The changes are usually not viewed as positive either, so thread is irrelevant.

recent updates have just been to remove things from the game that people actually enjoyed doing

Well lets rather think about things which could need an update.. there have been alot of things in the past which were suggested and also implemented (sellables wellables, muting rerolling without having the prof lvl, names for cata games is a nice feature too,... etc..)

-one thing which would be on my list is to change the emblems trap door to be detectable by the usual trap door detecting chars instead of just falling down.
-another thing would be to change monsters immunities to be 80% or 90% instead so you could possibly kill them or have a power cast to help there.
-frequency of ability deleting monster is quite high and alot of times quite annoying
-muting/glyphing disconnect safety
-maybe more options for catching fish like which fish gets stacked or directly deleted
