wondering what is most important for increasing load times in d2r, i had some peepz who are absolutely flying through the games (we were doing the same tombs tz, and he was bo'd up and teleported before i even got out of my loading screen)

right now i've got:

intel core i5 10400F @ 2.90 ghz
16 gb ram ddr4 2667
nvidia geforce gtx 1660 super
some 256 gb ssd (that i have d2r and windows installed on)

whats most important to improve for faster loading times?

Make sure at least 30–40 GB free on the SSD.

If it’s under 20% free that’s a big reason for slow loads.

Yeah 16GB is pretty low, it definitely wouldn't hurt adding additional RAM if you can afford the crazy prices these days. You can always upgrade your SSD to a 1TB or so. They aren't that expensive.

I currently only game on my Asus ROG FlowX13 laptop and it works perfectly fine for most games.

AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS
16gb RAM (not upgradeable unfortunately)
Nvidia RTX 3050ti
1TB ssd

Yeah I understand. When I was doing mass baal runs everyone would load in before me and I was the one creating the games. :D

I feel like 3-6 seconds is normal though. But this may be due to the fact that I haven't had a gaming rig in a while now.

Anyways, I hope clearing some of the SSD out helped. You can always get an additional SATA ssd and keep only game files on one. This may help out as well.

Good luck!

D2R has a weird correlation with higher FPS equals faster loading time.

Make sure you have uncapped FPS and Vsync off. Try to lower the quality somewhat.
/fps and check what your FPS is and return back.

Interesting may look into this
Last I gave d2r a try load screen was unbearable when trying to level with others. Otherwise game play and everything was fine. Entering game and entering wp/tp was horrible

I got the same pc I put in a m2 ssd and my load times are awful but way better then the original ssd that came with the pc. My secondary account folder was also not on the ssd and on an old hd when I switched accounts at some point it started running off that one I noticed pretty quick and moved it.
