looking to make a LLD charger
i definitely want it to be the shield variant
Ive found a nice lvl 30 65/110 knight mod 4 soc 12% ed shield i want to use
i have some max ar life charms for lld

the rest i have no clue....
I have magic eth self rep war scepter with +1 to charge ( can get 2 soc) not sure if this is any good for LLD?
or if any variant or war scepter is good for lld charger or if i should just go standard 6os naga with max/ed jewels

im thinking of going goblintoes?

what are some things i should be considering here?

also have some minmax lld and max lld jewels i would like to use.

anyone know the lld skilltree should look like here?

Peasant crown

angelic rings+amulet is best for attack rating. Only top tier rare rings can compete.

You should probably 1 or 2 shot your opponents cb is more effective when you hit many times before a kill.

Anything with more sockets beats all alternatives on LLD. 6s naga indeed and 3s helm 4s armor etc.

Best 1h wep is erep battle hammer. Alternatively can try honor divine scepter with +3charge or something if you want but erep>
2h wep options include erep lance & partizan insight (non-eth)

swap wep needs +3HS (ideally 2pcomb/3hs magic or rare scepter, but any +3hs works fine).

IK Gloves / Bfists
SOE
2x SOJ for more +crit off peace armor or high end lld melee rings (ar stats mana resist min for example)
Boots are debatable. I often use tearhaunches just for ez +vigor but could alternatively use gtoes or some rare boots for resist ETC.

sander eor cow king I think are commonly used

Agree but they are a usable option if people wish. Particularly if wep is crap. Realistically he's not gonna hit max resist without resist boots so I didn't bother mentioning cow king but they are a great choice (aside from basically guaranteeing you don't hit max res for un-needed extra frw & ar)

well, goblins just with 25cb and no fcr, no resists sounds like terrible choice. still cowking or sanders cheap af as at least give some usefull mods.
resists boots would be good choice vs caster, otherwise would go the ones I mentioned

I prefer gtoes
Frw is useless
You rarely need res
And cb is nice

2pcomb/80life magic ammy(or a rare w some mana can be nice for longer/team duels)
Sanders boots(you dont rlly need crushing blow when you will alrdy 1 tap anything that isnt a barb)

String of ears/death sash for cbf)

Rest depends on your budget/weapon

Best is an eth rep battle hammer(ed/max or ed/dmg etc) with peace armor, 2x soj and spirit crown shield(any roll in a 65ed etc will do, u mostly just want the 2 skills for crit) this gives u level 6 critical strike

If you go Honor, make it in a divine scepter, then use rare rings with any useful mods, like str/dex/mana/life/ar etc regular 4 soc 65ed crown with 4x dmg type jewels, and an 80life squid armor with dmg jewels

This is less dmg and less double damage chance than bhammer(honor only has 25%)

On swap just use an insight for med, usually partizan base(eth is bm, use a non eth)
You cant get +holy shield on scepters anymore in d2r so no prebuffing holy shield anymore
