KG def isnt more talented than Embiid gtfo

Giannis? Sure. Because Giannis is just freak physicals. He lacks a lot of skills these other guys have.

VORP all time leaderboard - KG 6th, Paul Pierce 25th, Giannis 26th, Kawhi 38th, Embiid 95th

defensive win shares all time leaderboard - KG 7th, Paul Pierce 26th, Giannis 73rd, Kawhi 101st, and Embiid not on the top 250 board

offensive win shares all time leaderboard - KG 29th, Paul Pierce 39th, Giannis 49th, Kawhi 85th, and Embiid 242nd

plus minus all time leaderboard - Giannis 8th, Embiid 10th, Kawhi 11th, KG 22nd, Paul Pierce 44th

there's 0 argument that Embiid is above KG, Kawhi, Giannis, and Pierce

You're listing all time accumulated stats. KG played in over 1,400+ career games. Embiid has 478 career games. Of course his total career number with defensive win shares and VORP are going to better. Irrelevant totals you're listing. Hell, even Giannis has like twice as many games played. This wasn't a conversation of who has had a better career...

Btw...break VORP and Offensive win shares down to a per game basis and Embiid destroys KG. It's not even remotely close. The only thing they're comparable in per game would be defensive win shares.

Not to mention Embiid's 27.57 career PPG average is 4th all-time in NBA history. His points per minute is #1 all-time. His 28.02 career PER ranks #2 all-time. None of these things KG can even sniff.

Yes, KG had a longer and more successful career (so far). Embiid had a higher peak though in terms of dominance. KG played a lot longer, he was more durable, and he has a ring. But he was not the talent that Embiiid and that was the point of this convo initially from Doc's comment.

Is durability, reliability, and playoff success part of “talent”?

If we’re saying talent is = peak then I’d say 2019 Kawhi clears 2023 Embiid, 2021 Giannis, 2004/2008 KG

There's a reason why Embiid is one of the most talented bigs youve ever seen and you'll ever see on the floor. Durability is entirely separate. When Embiid is on the floor and healthy we've seen him play at a dominance as much as anyone in the history of the game. The problem is it never lasts and the injuries always slow things down. There's a reason his per game numbers and per minute numbers are historic.

You have a 7'2" big who at his peak runs the floor like a wing, hits step back threes with one of the best mid-range jumpers in the game, has elite footwork and post moves with the ability to hold his own against guards on the perimeter defensively (not as much anymore ofc) and could anchor a defense at a DPOY level with incredible rim protection.

I know you hate the big fella but he's a special talent. Certain HOF career despite being limited by a fragile body.

Giannis Antetokounmpo missed the game last night in Philly against the Sixers with an injury and he is ready to be traded according to ESPN. Big news today. He is ready for a trade and that could come at the trade deadline next week.

At the end of this season Embiid will have approximately 500 games played out of approximately 1000 potential regular season games since he was drafted, you know what they say "the best ability is availability"

Agreed

But with that said what he's doing is nothing short of amazing. And you know it even if you refuse to admit it after saying he was cooked 😉

Talks about 76ers talking to Bucks about a trade for Giannis?

Most 76ers fans upset at the idea of giving up VJ in that trade. I'd have to agree. Didn't give up Maxey before for a proven superstar and it worked out, no reason to give up VJ. Keep a bright future.

76ers fans are delusional thinking Grimes and PG is a framework to trade for Giannis. It's fine if they are "upset" they just won't get Giannis

Grimes is looking to leave the 76ers in the offseason for anyone that is silly enough to give him a bag. Someone will be desperate to do it
