Since then, the administration – and the president himself - have changed tack, blaming Democrats for what happened and focusing less on the actions of the American nurse who was killed. Democrats, meanwhile, have increased their criticism of the president's mass deportation policy and the aggressive tactics of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), leaning into a political fight that could result in a new government shutdown on Friday.

On Monday morning, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche described the situation as a "powder keg". While he blamed the Democrats, many on both sides of America's political divide will agree that the current situation is fraught with peril.

I think the more days that we go without investigators revealing details / no updates, the more likely it is Pretti's gun was never fired and all shots were from the border patrol agent

After our daughter-in-law was not brought to her bond hearing, we didn’t hear from her for two days. We finally learned she was able to call after being moved to another tent. She isn’t sure when she’ll be able to call again — there are no phones in the new tent.

She has now been detained for over a week. ICE agents told her she is finally being processed in the system, and shockingly, they claim they have no record at all of her last bond hearing on their side. The courts do have the documentation.

She was given a “Notice to Appear” before an immigration judge on February 23rd — one full month from today.

It seems like someone posted this theory online and the world just ran with it as fact. I’m just looking at the same videos everyone else has but I haven’t seen anything (gun recoil, powder signs, etc) that would suggest the victims gun had an accidental discharge. Seems most likely the ICE agents fired all the shots.

The advocacy group that represents border patrol agents are calling for Noem and Bovino to be fired and the administration has sidelined Bovino. The administration seems to finally be getting the hint that they can’t just gaslight the world about this.
