Legal innocence doesn't automatically mean moral or ethical innocence. Same thing about how the law is written vs how it is used in practice.

Why did dude get subdued? He interfered with federal operations. He shouldn't have been executed, no doubts there, that's poor training on ICE. Either way, mind your own fkn business and you won't get shot. Right?

I tried to look at the video for clues about the first shot and I can't figure it out from that alone
Its about 1.2 seconds between the gun leaving the guy's waistband and the first shot, and another 1.5 seconds to the first of the next round of shots

Its not clear if any body language and reactions are from the gunshot or impact, if Pretti was shot or not. I don't see an obvious wound like after the next few shots.
The officers very clearly respond involuntarily to the first shot. One guy standing up swings his hand, hitting another officer on the head and pushing him down forwards, and he appears to let go, same with another and Pretti gets up on his knees. Possibly in response to the gunshot sound, possibly in response to being shot. There's some artifacting and lens glares at that moment, but they track with movement of the camera rather than being any kind of splatter, and you can see the breath of the people as they exhale in the cold so there's plenty of particulate already in motion visible. The recoil and some very light flare is visible for one frame of the second gunshot, very clearly from the officer's gun behind Pretti, which immediately downs him.

I think the question of whether his gun was fired or not is still the biggy, its the difference between "Jumpy officer shoots him just because the other cop shouted 'gun gun gun'" vs "He opened fire only after hearing gunshots and thinking Pretti was going rambo"

I think the kind of world you envision where it's dog eat dog is pretty untenable for an advanced society to still be operating under. Idly standing by while federal operations are in violation of due process and 4th amendment jurisprudence is your best answer? I have a strong suspicion your tune would change if it was you in cuffs

Illegal invaders are not entitled to due process or any amendments as they are not now and have never been citizens of The United States of America.

The Constitution protects “persons,” not just citizens. Once someone is physically in the U.S., courts have long held they’re covered by due process (5th/14th Amendments), even if their presence is unlawful. The process can be limited in some immigration contexts, but it’s not “no rights/no amendments.”

We'll have Charlie Kirk getting blasted for another thousand years guy.

Kill a hundred protesters. Kill a million. And we'll always have Kirk. And then we'll have another. Because you think killing protestors is a victory.

i think killing is gross
the lies you have to tell yourself trying to justify the things you do or what u want to believe

do you mean the scene where he open carried an AR-15 which was ok?

but I thought the reason the deceased here was shot in the first place was because they were carrying a gun?

This is what it looked like when Kyle Rittenhouse reached the authorities as opposed to the lynch mob trying to murder him;

Do people really need explained the basic concept of self-defense and the reasonable perception of a deadly threat justifying lethal response?
Because quite frankly, every argument I read online about this is moronic. To the point, I wonder if people who argue these topics can tie their own shoes or have a meal of soup without a dribble mat
So I'm expecting some more of those trenchant insights as opposed to superficial nonsense about crossing state lines or whatever

the question to ask is what kind of person gets upset when a kid defends himself?

Go break into China or Russia illegally, then get caught and try to claim the rights of citizens.
Let me know how it works out for you.
