so the first shot came from suspects gun while officer was holding it away from the brawl?

Bear in mind its a theory and we're still some hours removed with people mixing speculation, piecing together the video, etc. But that's the theory.
Its possible the first shot was the officer gunning the guy down, or hell that could be an accidental discharge too

This video seems to be our best evidence isolated to say it was indeed a p320 firing on its own, because though the pixels are blurry it does appear the slide jumped back and the pistol twisted awkwardly in his hand

but you just said the officer took the gun.

so the shot would have come from a different location than the suspect.

In about a single second span, one officer grabs the gun from the guy's waistband and turns and tries to move away, at that moment it appears the gun discharges while the officer is carrying it, and another officer responds by drawing his gun and opening fire on the guy
And when a gun is firing a foot away from you, you aren't getting a fine tuned sense of where the shot is coming from or who is shooting in that split second because someone just shot a gun near your ears and that's all you hear

so anytime a cop shoot his gun it means its ok for all to start shooting? blindly?

if the officer had the gun it could look like it was his that shot first.

The real disgusting thing to think about is how many cameras were taken and how many witnesses were potentially carted off after they offed him.

I sure suspect it isn't zero!

They are brawling with a guy who is resisting them in a chaotic mess, the officers shout 'he's got a gun', a gunshot goes off, their reaction to assume he's got a gun and is firing it is pretty self explanatory and I shouldn't need to belabor that point.
I think people really get inured to overanalyzing of the split second decision making in chaotic life and death circumstances, like every police shooting being questioned as 'well even if the first two shots were justified, that third shot was murder~!' or 'why didn't he just shoot them in the legs' or so on

you arent getting what i said.

the officer had the gun. if it went off how did the other officers know it was suspects gun and he needed shooting?

the shot would have come from where the officer was which was away from suspect. so it could have been him shooting his own weapon.

you are saying if a cop hears a gun go off it means shoot anyone infront of you even if it was a fellow cop shooting.
