Still no significant updates or statements from government on this case. Supposed to be hearing today. Supporters raised $30,159 toward a $30,000 goal from 393 donors for bond.

The GoFund donor angle to this seems wild. More vulnerable to scam than Western Union.

ICE failed to transport her daughter-in-law to the hearing (they did not put her on the bus that brings detainees to court).
Because she was not physically present, and ICE could not provide proof of issuing a formal “Notice to Appear,” the judge stated she lacked jurisdiction to grant bond at that time.
The family's immigration attorney argues this is not what the law intends and that jurisdiction does exist.
The legal team is now filing a federal habeas corpus action, which seeks either her immediate release or, at minimum, a proper bond hearing."
