I strongly dislike how weather has become social media sensationalized.

Every year we get snow and every year they hype up these "storms" more and more.

It's getting ridiculous how click bait it's become.

True. Weather media tend to "blow up" storms, which end up being less than expected. On rare occasions storms end up being legit.

In 1993 I got caught in "the blizzard of the century" North of Atlanta, Georgia returning from Spring break. Southern states are not prepared for snow....

to that point, people in southern states can't drive worth a darn in snow/ice conditions.
perhaps to them a couple inches of snow is a grand storm? well because their infrastructure isn't prepared for it.

in 1992/1993 we got 4.5 ft annual average of snow
then in 95/96 we got 6ft annual average of snow.
02/03 5.25ft, 09/10 6ft, 13/14 5ft, then nothing over 3 ft annual average since.

Will be shocked if I even get 1ft of snow during this "heavy snow storm"

Eastern looks like 10-14 inches as of right now my phone is saying.

Definitely preparing for it. I will love all the snow, but I am not looking forward to avoiding drivers who are not good on snow.

I'm west coast USA. Its cold but not really expecting much unfortunately

I think we're supposed to get an ice storm here it's pretty warm right now and starting to rain currently

Some reports say 3-8 inches, some say up to 11.
