Well before impale was reworked, I tested in very convincing ways that:
slow form items is capped at 50%, even if applied by different players (tho I can't remember if 2 players with less than 50% slow can reach the 50% cap when both attacking the same target)
slow from items and golem is capped at 50% total, both last 30s, both refresh the duration in the same way, and you can reach the 50% cap with any variation of % from any sources (i.e. 35% from items and 41% from golem is still 50% total)
any 2, 3 or 4 combination of the 4 known slow types are stacking together additively (could be 5 types with impale now)
the cap of -85 EIAS is calculated after both bonus and malus were taken into account (for example, 3x 50% slow is not capped at 85% if the target has enough +EIAS to compensate)
Holy Freeze and/or chilling a sundered frozen horror (+33 chill effectiveness) is effectively buffing its EIAS and EFRW
The only thing I don't know right now is about impale's slow...
It's using the same wording as clay golem, so I just assumed that it works the same way, "slow enemies: x%"
have you really tested it in a convincing way when you say that impale stacks with slow from items?
All those tests aren't so hard.
You can use the help of 1-2 other player(s) applying different slows to a player.
You can push the EIAS of the test subject to some high value to make it possible to test how multiple slows stack without hitting the -85 cap.
It's very noticeable when, for example, you go from 11 fpa as a lvl 20 werewolf using a 0wsm weapon and normal attacks, to 16fpa when a 50% slow is applied, to 27fpa when 2x 50% slows are applied, to 103fpa when 3x 50% slows are applied.
We would need to test impale combined with each of the other slow type, to see if it stack with all of them or just some of them.
This would be enough to conclude if it's a 5th type, and if not, in which category it belongs.
No need to test with multiple slow combos, we already know how the other slow sources interract with each other.
