11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.


1 Peter 3:19-20
King James Version
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.




God in His great mercy sent Jesus to preach to those who were destroyed in the flood in the days of Noah.

How would earth be corrupt before god? I thought he created it all or is this another one of its many contradictions?
If he did create it that means he made it corrupt. If he didn't create it that means he is not all powerful. Pick one

It's about values you and your civilization live by.

And putting into words the sensation of being a part of something more than just you. A link in a 4 billion years old chain of life.

Its a coping mechanism made up by bronze age people to explain away things they didn't understand. Some people have a hard time accepting things that are beyond their understanding so a convenient wizard and his magical powers cover any unknowns nicely.
People look up to authority for answers and if they dont know the answers they appear like incapable leaders. So god is a perfect cover for any of those deep pesky philosophical questions.

You missed the part where God mercifully sent Jesus to preach to the spirits in prison, those who were destroyed in the great flood.

You missed the part where innocent people and even animals had to be drowned (allegedly) in the first place. Why is he sending jesus(himself) after the fact? They all dead apparently anyway whats the point? Its like shooting someone in the head then saying sorry afterwards. It does nothing for the people killed only to make yourself feel less bad.

What a bunch of baloney, also you haven't addressed the first contradiction.

At this point you are just completely ignoring the contradictions and major plot holes that I just raised. This tells me you are not here to earnestly question those beliefs but to blindly preach what you were told to preach.

Pursuing unbelief is the opposite of faith, which edifies no good thing? I never came into this thread to question my beliefs, but rather to take the opportunity to raise faith in Jesus in you.

Every single passage in the scripture is filled with fruits of the Holy Spirit,

Goodness, faithfulness, kindness, gentleness, peace, love, joy, meekness, temperance, patience, long-suffering, self-control, charity, unity, truth, grace, mercy, righteousness and life.

May the Lord open the eyes of your heart to see His goodness. In Jesus Name, Amen.
