Boss I don't think the average American would tell you it's thriving. It wasent under Joe it isn't under Trump.
Credit card debt continues to rise in the middle-class, highest unemployment rate for new graduates in over a decade, still rampant outsourcing trend to overseas employees and now we get to contend with AI which the current admin seems to be happy to encourage.
If you're a parent right now I think the sentiment is even worse given the prospects continue to get worse and worse.
I'm not attributing this to Donny, it's the way the country was trending and would have regardless gone this way under either administration.
I actually think there is a lot of partisanship baked in sadly in this.
It always amazes me when polling comes out ahead of an election and 60% of one party say the country is doing well and just coincidentally their preferred party holds the presidency… meanwhile only 30% of the opposition party feels the country is doing well or on the right track.
Fast forward 1-week after an election where the presidents party has changed and while nothing substantive may have actually changed at that point, magically that polling has flipped 180* degrees based on whether they align with the future presidents party.
On balance probably a majority or at least plurality of people don’t think things are going well… but folks views are heavily heavily influenced by partisanship and who holds the presidency.
