Apart from evidence or lack of evidence, you dont have to think too critically to see that the biblical god does not really represent what you would or could expect from such a perfect being, right?
It seems to be painfully obvious that all that god stands for perfectly represents what people 2000 years ago thought an allmighty god would represent. God's age is absolutely showing by now if you read through the bible.
God's portrayal in there is obnoxious.
He has no humour at all, he is dead serious all the time. But he can get pretty angry and pissed off. Just not a very likeable being, more like a narcissist...which is kind of odd, right?
Humans should be made as images of god according to the bible, but humans have a good sense of humor in general - which is a sign of intelligence by the way.
Sure, some humans are just as insufferable as god, but theres also funny people, humble, good people. The opposite of god.
When god is merciful, he has to tell everyone that he is....most of the time he isnt merciful tho - or his act of mercy isnt that merciful after all, if you look at it a second time.
He is a prick almost all the way through from start to finish and always blames it on his own creation rather than on himself.
Even if god existed, it wouldn't be his merit that he's god. I mean good for him I guess, but that alone, being what he is, earns no respect. Respect needs to be earned by actions and the biblical god didnt do a good job at all when it comes to actions. If I was god, I would - without the shadow of a doubt - have done a better job.
That god is a prick of such magnitude should give people a good hint to wether those stories are true or not. God behaves like Commodus in Gladiator "Am I not merciful?!?!"
Imagine an eternity in heaven with that dude. Fun times....that never end
