Like I told you guys before, if it was me behind the wheel of a vehicle that was 2 to 6 tons, and my intent was to murder an ice officer with it, he would have zero chance to draw his service weapon at me. Especially if the dumbass was stupid enough to step in front of the vehicle. But the death of this lady is the only thing on your guys's mind for whatever reason.

If you didn't have a legal reason to step in front of their vehicle, no. We already have precedent that claims of self defense are nullified when a citizen purposefully baits people into aggressive actions in hopes of killing someone in a conflict and calling them the aggressor. It happened with the guy who got in arguments over the handicapped parking spot and shot someone in Florida. He got 20 years. Because it turned out he had been picking a fight with people over that same parking spot for a long time and seeing who would fight back.

The difference is that law enforcement officers don't just have reason to put themselves in harms way, its expected of them. If a cop routinely pulls over vehicles and questions occupants about illegal firearms, hes absolutely putting himself in harms way. Thats his job. And he isnt required to use the least intrusive / safest / most cowardly means. An officer can stand in front of the vehicle of a fleeing suspect and order them to stop, and shoot them if they try to ram him
