Due to certain manufacturers ceasing production for consumer supply ... Yes.
I would recommend at least getting a new GPU now if you were considering an upgrade.
They are okay priced.

I think RAM prices will gradually increase and then stabilize at a very high price.

You can sometimes find brand new products on secondhand resale sites for 3/4 to 4/5 price from the others resellers.

This year we will definitely have issues with RAM, not only for Computers but other devices like cellphones, Gaming Consoles etc.

If I'm not mistaken several Partners have already Discontinued the RTX 5070 TI (due to the RAM prices going up) so if anyone wants to get their hands on that, I suggest doing it before the end of the month.

As someone who upgraded their rig in 2025, I’d snag the highest tier gpu you could find that you’re willing to pay for(given your cpu/mobo doesn’t need upgrading) and if it does try to find a bundle for example from microcenter or other retailers.

The same Corsair Vengeance 32gb 6000mhz rgb ram kit I have I got for $93 in my cpu/mobo/ram bundle about 6 months ago.

I looked at it now at the same place I bought it from, it’s $600usd for the SAME kit.

Chew on that.

Also, food for thought before the ram shortage you could get like a 128gb ram kit for around $600.

I hope things mellow out, I don't think it's sustainable to be this price forever but we shall see.

The Prices are definitely a problem, the RTX 5070 TI went from an average 690-800 to a whopping 900-1050....

The same can be said for the RAM which went up more then double the price... You can't even get a 32GB for less then $300 or more where as before you could get the same kit for 140-160ish

Unless you are in dire need of upgrading I would never look at buying inflated hardware during a price bubble. It will always level out and come back down, back to the normal price like November 2025, no; but it will come back down. Just like gas and other items that have sky rocketed, wait about a year and see how things move before making a purchase.

I'm holding off myself for now to upgrade anything. If the market stabilizes I'll reassess, as everything I play currently plays fine, so I'm in no rush.
