That's a wonderful idea. The issue on the backend would be all trades being 1fg. If we want this to be added, we need to account for Paul's fee. Thoughts?

It is based on the prices in the Trade Thread, you can not adjust the price once the deal has been recorded... also, this stops any PM trades made between Seller and Buyer, it has to be specifically noted in a Trade thread, otherwise you can not trade item using the ID # of the buyer.

In other words, you have to make GENUINE trades in a thread, now as for trading for Marketplace... you take the risk and it gets sniped... on another note, if both parties make a deal in the trade thread on the price, maybe they have a 7 day reprisal as in normal trades of the MP ... this holds up back logs... fees are accounted for and the item goes to the correct buyer.

Basically, your comment is derived from people trying to abuse it... my suggestion is based on Topic Thread and the Posts by genuine bids, other posts during that thread is ignored (thus random comments), thus ignoring spam comments.

Add a section to the Marketplace where the Seller can put in the Buyers ID# and that item only appears to the Buyer and not the rest of the items. Also, this means it does NOT have to be searched by item type or Tier.

Take Guild vault as an example where they transfer items to a member using their ID #, however this trade is only seen by the Buyer who has that ID # and not the rest... same market fees.

If this was implemented it can also stop sniping.

This will just move the problem into the trading topic.
people will try to avoid fees and put it into the trading forum for 1 fg so that the buyer quickly posts "bin for 1 fg"
you could still snipe any bin or dl at the end of the time.
i am still with you guys that sniping can be really bad

So, in a trade thread the Buyer says 1fg BIN and the seller says 1FG is going to lose market fees? Hey you are not incorrect, however, both the seller and buyer are marked as "Abusing" the trade rules, and if any other FG is passed on after or before the trade (which is recorded) will make both of them in contention of being Locked etc.

Think about it naturally, so what... people can make deals on skype or whatever and make trades without recognition of D2jsp... suspect is suspect and suspension will happen with the Logs recorded.

Anyway, you are NOT incorrect, it can be abused, however, it also means trading items that have been hoarded to new players at a good price without them being in your guild.

All is fair in love and war apparently.

There should be a system to directly trade with a person though.
Like join a cata click name and have option to trade directly like d2.

But that is a fever dream

Its annoying that someone bought it before. But it also goes to show the market is constantly scalped.
Nothing is safe unless you join guild and vault xfer... and even then the buyer doesnt have any obligation other than morals to send fg. Cuz its technically an item given to you via vault...

That idea is great, however you have to be online at the same time for the trade, which in reality is only available for players in their timezone(s).

Now that you mentioned this, it would be more feasible to have that buyers ID # posted where they can purchase it when one or the other is offline... now comes an issue, the MP is set for 7 days max for an item, thus the buyer has to be online within that timeframe to purchase it at said price.

Does the item going to 0 fg be added to the sellers MP list, or does the buyer have to pay more Market fees to ensure they get that item? Now comes into effect "Re-negotiating or cancelling the trade?" Who pays the fees?

This is where the community should delve into a bit more... I suggested a base idea and so have you, guess we need more constructive advice from players.
