the republican party is surging in the polls. pretty soon, they will be able to call a constitutional convention and fundamentally change the nation. to call a CC, they need 66% of state legislatures. republicans currently control a whopping 59%. they just need a handful more to call a CC.

once called, the republicans get carte blanche to alter the nation without interference from the democrats. among changes could be abolishing the filibuster to passing amendments to the constitution (including repealing the two term limit on presidents so trump can keep running)

we've never seen one political party screw up so badly that the other one got a chance to call a CC. but the democrats are so deeply unpopular it can actually happen in 2026.

with the democrats openly defending a murderous dictator in maduro, i woudnt bet on democrats winning anything in 2026. trump excels at tricking democrats into taking deeply unpopular positions like that.

Sure, but even if they can't win anything justice must be served, or our nation of people is doomed. Confessions must be extracted, trials must be held and sentences by the book. They must be made to give up their accomplices in Canada and Europe.

They need even more to bind changes, and AFAIK the process has never been done. A convention proposes amendments, which then require ratification by three-fourths of states (38/50) to become law. It is not "carte blanche".
