I'm curious to see how fast they release their chain of command information. I can't see a scenario where the USA doesn't put boots on the ground to at least continually audit their control until they believe everything is lockstep.
As for the "invasion", the USA is insanely powerful and is going to do whatever it wants in the end. For them to cow a nation by kidnapping it's leader, it completely bypasses a whole war. The nation already lost before it started and now many other nations are less willing to poke the bear.
Trump's willingness to openly say it's control of Venezuela is about oil is also refreshing. I'm over poorly written political theatre.
