So without getting too mired in the weeds I've been away from Diablo since 2023. My wife and I played and I bounced off of it pretty hard after playing Diablo 3 for a long time. The thing that confused me were the myriads of systems and items to collect and endgame grind felt overwhelming for parents with a small child and limited time. With no clear direction we quit.

I decided it would be fun to come back and try the game. So I got to 60 and then all of a sudden i'm at a "now what" stage. I go online and see some videos and there are so many resources and dungeon options and tasks that it legit sounded like they were speaking another language. I was entirely overwhelmed and I haven't found any place that genuinely was able to spell it out in lay terms.

So obviously I have no idea how to spend my time and focus now that I'm in torment 1. I only have a couple aspects unlocked and i'm still figuring out my plan. Things I am not familiar with:
Helltides - i guess these are kind of good to do now and have keys for bosses?
Nightmare Dungeons - I've never done them, don't even know how to do them?
Hordes - Unsure what this is, lots of guides kind of just mention it assuming i'm pretty familiar
Pit - this is get, it's pretty much the same as the rifts in Diablo 3 which is the closest analog
Kurast Undercity - everyone says this is a great farming spot, is there anything specific needs doing there or just go
Obols? No clue lol
Runes? New to me
I still need to figure out the season stuff. You go to the season journey page and it's just a ton of boxes with tasks and when you don't know what tasks actually are or which to target it's incredibly overwhelming.

It just seems like a lot of the info out there assumes you've done more of the game than I have and I'm feeling really gaming illiterate for some reason. I've never felt my age more than trying to discern this and I say this as someone who knew Diablo 2 and 3 inside and out. For some reason this game is feeling so alien to me. I'm at a point where i'd pay forum gold to someone to write me a "idiots guide to gearing progression at 60"

Go to maxroll for starters, choose a build which appeals to you for your class. You can find all resources and explanations there.

Add me on Bnet {Seryn#11969} or Discord {Seryn13} and I'm happy to help. We have a few returning players and a couple that have never touched Diablo 4 before.

Typing all of this out, is a mess to try to explain.

Skip D4. It is utter trash and there are plenty of other games to play that are actually worth your time.

Not sure why you bother coming to these boards/forums if you're just going to talk trash. While it's not the greatest game in the world and I can attest to how many things I've found wrong with it, I don't go out of my way to OSRS to talk trash about that game.

Kinda weird to spend your time coming and being so negative.

I spent 30 seconds writing that. I am trying to save someone time. The game is absolute trash. Itemization is trash. They hand you legendaries like candy. Hitting max level is just a chore at this point. They have Mythic goblins... come on, this game is trash. You can literally run a horse at level 1. The only difficulty is chasing those min max items and grinding one more level in rifts or whatever they're called.

Not to mention gameplay is the worst.

Game is bad. Don't waste your time.

Mobalytics and Maxroll are a great resource. You should check it out. Also, there's a lot of Youtube videos that talk about what to do after you hit lvl 60.

If you have a friend or someone to play with (like your wife), I will admit the game is much more enjoyable.

Seems like a lot more than 30 seconds. Lie #1. Game isn't the greatest? Sure, I'd agree to that. Trash? Nope.

You should head back to hello kitty and have fun. Don't bother joining random boards of games you're not interested in.
