How come sometime my face id recognizes me and lets me swipe up to unlock but doesn't Auto Unlock

You may be experiencing multi-verse nano jumps. Going in an out of the consciousness that is the you in one or more parallel universes/dimensions. Do you feel parched or like you ate cotton candy when you experience your unlock screen not unlocking?
