Australia doesn’t matter. You guys don’t need guns because your government is harmless. I don’t mean they’re nice, I mean they are incapable of doing any damage on a global scale if they go totalitarian. America will just come save you. No need to express gratitude for the nation that safeguards your liberty, obviously.

how did that work out for Ukraine?

The Ukraine war isn't about Ukraine, it's about Russia. Supporting Ukraine is pure posturing.

Americans and their delusional of grandeur. Never ceases to surprise the world.

Tell us how again America safeguards the liberty of Australia, while being completely inept at safeguarding their own democracy?

250 years of safeguarding American democracy. It's looking pretty ironclad right now. Large portions of the population not liking elected officials is a pretty much universal symptom of functioning democracy.

You guys would be speaking Japanese to an entirely German EU without America. But currently it's just a strong safeguard. You should maybe google that word.

There's never been a time in history when Europe has gone this long without succumbing to totalitarianism and war with itself. Almost all of Australian history up to that point was as a European colony, so that applies to Australia also. It's a pretty big coincidence if you don't think this is directly due to the threat of America looming.

America also safeguards your trading routes for free. nbd, ensuring safe trade is good for everybody, you don't have to say thanks.

[QUOTE=RedFromWinter,Dec 14 2025 08:17am,680888158,107499156]The news has daily anecdotes of Islamic expansion into Western states including murder.

Also, there have absolutely been pundits saying your contrived example.

You think I'm Australian, that's cute.

Someone who thinks the large majority disliking an elected official is part of a working democracy is laughable and there's no point in having a discussion with someone who has that opinion.

Best of luck in your echo chamber.

I'm not sure you understand what an echo chamber is. I literally agree with 0 people in this forum.

Also, you implied you were Australian.

So sad. We should start selling AR's on the beach and corner stores. More guns would have prevented this.

i'm gonna play along for a second. When you write "islamic expansion" what do you mean exactly?

Pull up a map of Europe and Middle East. Set your population demographic colors ON. Examine the last 20 years. Unless you are blind, you'll see massive immigration from places like Syria to Europe. Mountain of anecdotal news from European cities in how excellent it's going. Then EU policy makers all over the spectrum about handling it. The wave if people literally subverting host government

This isn't even a new happening, history repeating itself. Was very bloody all around last time.

Aussies gave up their guns on the promise mass shootings would never happen again.
How is that working out for you?
