One of the girls at work has made her whole identity based around going to the gym

Its not about that. At least not for me. Its just that it doesnt make sense for people to be like oh look the new year is starting, what should I do? Just set your goals at any point in the year as they come up. No need to wait until the end of the year to decide what you wanna do.
