Or you use a 55ias pb and able to tp a frame faster while maintaining the 72ias bp. I gotten a eth amped fools pb 50ias for less than 20k. Diablo is a big game with lots of options. Being closed minded is the worst way to approach this game imo.
Also your comment says you can't upgrade eth runeword bases and then you reevaluated your comment.
I dont understand the thing in red. That comment is still the same, not edited flag etc.
Well, there are many forms of eth fools's ctc amp pb's. 0 to 300% ed, 50ias require 1 socet, so yes you can find cheap. But if it's going to perform better than grief you need some good stats on it.
So lets get technical, his gear:
Dream helm
Dream shield
Enigma/Forti - We going to assume Enigma
Gores
Highlord's - Your pb setup was to use fcr ammu for more fcr
Raven
Leech ring
Arach if tele, SoE if not - We going to assume Arach
LoH
Lightning sunder <--- Does not matter for physical damage part, but the Highlord helps stack its negative effects.
Usual inventory stuff <---- Not specified, so ignored.
Grief PB 15ed/400/40ias to keep it simple
vs
Eth fool's pb 5ctc amp, 300ed, 40ias, 1 soc (we keep it simple and "affordable") socet with a 40ed/15ias jool.
Grief wepon damage: 435-440 with (185 damage to demons and 20% deadly strike)
Fool's pb wepon damage: 202-277 (5 ctc amp)
zeal bonus: 390% ED
Strenght bonus: 139 ED
Grief physical damage:
437,5*(1+((390+139)/100))*(1+(72/100)) = 4733
Vs demons: 437,5*(1+((390+139+185+350)/100))*(1+(72/100)) = 8759
Fool's physical damage:
239,5*(1+((390+139)/100))*(1+(15/100)) = 1732
Vs demons: 239,5*(1+((390+139+350)/100))*(1+(15/100)) = 2696
How much does amp help? Well its very different depending on enemy DR%.
So lets say 25% DR:
Damage * (1-(DR%/100))
AMP = -100% DR
Grief:
4733 * (1-(25/100)) = 3549 vs all
4759 * (1-(25/100)) = 6569 vs demons
Fools:
1732 * (1-(25/100)) = 1299 vs all NONE AMP
1732 * (1-(-75/100)) = 3031 vs all amped
2696 * (1-(25/100)) = 2022 Vs Demons NONE AMP
2696 * (1-(-75/100)) = 4718 Vs demons amped
As you can see, grief wins all scenarios.
Maxroll link to what i used in example. (just to get skills ed, str etc)
https://maxroll.gg/d2/d2planner/xy57e004If full max damage charms, Perfect 2 soc with added min/max effects as well as LO rune and highlord in use. Well then fools may win...
So i will do that scenario as well:
Fools, 340ed, 20min, 55ias, 5ctc amp, 20% deadly strike (220-277, 248,5 average)
Max damage scs, well lets say: 7 x 10max gcs to make it simple. (283,5 average total)
Fool's physical damage:
283,5*(1+((390+139)/100))*(1+(72/100)) = 3067 ////// Vs 25% DR = 2300 ////// Vs -75% DR = 5367
Vs demons: 283,5*(1+((390+139+350)/100))*(1+(72/100)) = 4773 /////// Vs 25% DR = 3580 /////// Vs -75% DR = 8354
Grief physical damage(472,5 average) :
472,5*(1+((390+139)/100))*(1+(72/100)) = 5111 ///// Vs 25% DR = 3833
Vs demons: 472,5*(1+((390+139+185+350)/100))*(1+(72/100)) = 9459 /////// Vs 25% DR = 7094
So yes, if 100% perfect PB, and also use Highlord on PB and enemy is amped, then PB wins.
PB ofc wins vs physical immune monsters^^
Edit due to I forgot to change from 15% ds to 72% DS in excel sheet xD
