2x sojs and 2x gulls is pretty fun. gotta love classic where id'ing rares is actually fun. i just never have the heart when i play it to ID normal quality weps. heartbreaking to see like a 150%ed rare that you can't upgrade.
True enough. I still liked to see the potential drops until I found that 17x ed/min-max weapon. Some time ago, IDR now. But I do like to Id everything until I see basically the maximum for that area. In hell CS, I'll prob ID everything until I see a 200% ed weapon of any kind haha.
interesting
Thanks for thinking so. For me, I'll find it interesting again once I find Goldskin. The sad part is, I could definitely just start Hell right now with the gear I have, but my devilish stubbornness is stopping me from moving on without finding Goldskin. I might be the first ever level 90 in classic NM by the time I find it ^^
That war gaunts are pretty gg!
They truly are! Very nice ones. However, I intend to do at least 50-100x as many Hell CS runs as I have done in NM, so I have to assume I'll find better. Also, in the end, I won't be looking for ML on gloves at all because just the ML from the perfect skull in my Einlanzer will be enough to sustain WW. So ML isn't really an end-game mod at all.
I wasn't familiar with Chrono Cross but I just found out it's set in the same world as Chrono Trigger. I remember Glenn, a yellow-buckler-wielding frog, along with other awesome characters like Magus. That game was epic!
Close! I don't want to give away too much because both games are such masterpieces and I'd hate to ruin anything for anyone. But one thing is for sure, they are not direct sequels. Chrono Trigger was about some kids who accidentally thrust themselves into the future only to find their world in ruins, and they hop around timelines in order to "fix" events to save their world. Chrono Cross deals with the fallout of the original game's interference with time. CC is basically trying to reconcile the damaged timelines from CT's events and explores whether or not "reality" can ever fully heal from that kind of intervention.
What I'm trying to say is, in short, the games are not really one in any sense, and although there are some analogous characters such as Magus/Guile and Frog/Glenn, they are not the same. Frog is a character from Chrono Trigger who is quite literally a sword-wielding frog who is a knight, and you're right he does use a yellow buckler. In Chrono Cross, there's a character named Glenn, who although there aren't really any hints in the story, a lot of Chrono fans believe he is the spiritual successor of Frog as he shares a similar weapons, armor, and vernacular aesthetic. I'll include a picture of Chrono Cross Glenn here just for reference.
Chrono Cross Glenn:

Still plugging away at NM CS
