When the game is on the line and the team is down, the dude almost never delivers. Batted down passes, check downs in bounds with the clock running, goofy ass sacks when he’s trying to make a play but he doesn’t have size or mobility. He’s not a terrible qb, but he damn sure isn’t a QB that’s ever going to win anything meaningful in the nfl. Luckily he plays for the Bucs so he can go 9-8/10-7 every year and squeak into the playoffs and keep the fans happy.

Well, the Watson contract isn’t something you can get out of overnight. It’s better for them to be bad and farm high picks and good players til they get that shit off the books. So far graham/swesinger/fannin/samspon/sheduer all look like good picks, if they draft good next year they should be in good shape. Going 9-8 and getting rolled in the first round isn’t gonna do much to improve the Bucs. That’s the ceiling they have with mayfield as the qb.
