White elephant gifts are usually just nonsense items I'll never use so I don't participate and then if I do get an item I would use it will get stolen from me by the end anyway.
Secret Santa is better because they could at least gift something in your ballpark.

Getting double pay at work for Xmas and Xmas eve. Family always celebrates a few days after the holiday since scheduling can be hectic. We usually end up at steakhouse and exchange gifts after.

Nothing too crazy just get together as a family and bake for Santa and enjoy each other's time
The city is mostly just hanging out with my big Italian family in law
