I would consider that I'm more into the fantasy elements with the demons/ghouls but yeah Psycho-Pass was pretty "realistic" and dark so maybe not far off

It has serious moments, but then sometimes they are not doing anything but its funny. It's not quite a filler, more than likey it was in the manga.
