That is so interesting !

I never thought about them "unspawning" too but now it reminds me to the Chaos Seal popping Trick where you can kill all monsters that you have seen within the last 6-8 seconds before popping the seal. They will despawn if you wait too long too. I will test if damaged monsters keep existing there.

But i don't think half-damaged bosses do de- and respawn when you move far away ( maybe they do ^^, maybe only the TPs prevent them from despawning ).

So there may be a #1 general spawn point and when you get closer there may be a #2 spawn activation/monster perming point.

Does the barely spawned Andariel keep existing when you teleport up to her and back? It maybe just not showing on Vectors when too far away too.

When she really does despawn try damaging her and see if she respawns with full life ^^


I would assume if you damage her, the damage would stick even if she's deloaded, right? At least I would assume so? Because you can damage duriel, go back to town (where he wouldn't be loaded any longer) and then come back and his health is still the same value.

Y they stay damaged as it seems just tried with meph.

I think what happens is they will stay spawned, but get an like an "inactive" Flag preventing them from being killed with e.g. the seal popping trick.

Baal spawns as soon as you enter the portal, so its a bit harder to catch offguard, as it may move as you enter the worldstone chamber.

Going up-left from here respawns him.


At this distance, as soon as it loads, baal starts casting curse and summoning those tentacles to you.

I have no idea if this would make a difference or not (I don't think it does), but having a TP down *does* count as an object from the player (idr exact term for it) so even if you leave, if you used a tp and the tp is left near the boss they're still technically loaded.

I just thought about it, because of the baal wave skip trick can't be done if you have a TP in the throne room, even if it's off the map (unless it's along the left well) because baal counts the tp being there as a "player" being actively in the throne room.

True wave skip is another good example, but i don't think they despawn, they will kind of just "deactivate" as they will keep their partially HP once spawned, at least that's what i tested with meph.

Maybe it's harder to tell with just some pics, but there is not a barely spawned Andariel. She is loaded or she is not.
The real barb is really next to the sorc. The one i'm moving is just a "ghost" that allows me to see some screens away, but barb can NOT interact with anything, as it doesn't really exist in that position (close to Andariel) in the server. Barb is only moving in client side (my pc), in the server, barb is forever stuck close to the sorc.

Maybe someone who knows more can confirm but i think interacting with things far away was patched and now results in a ban. For example some mods allow to have higher resolutions, making you see more map, but can be only used safely offline.

I will take a video this night when i get home so you see it clearer :thumbsup:

I damaged andariel, removed her from the map, and when spawned again she still has the damage received (no life rep in normal)

Yeah so spawned is spawned, that's important for the P1 Setup.

And i guess Ubers are close enough to portal to immediately spawn too.

I'd say i go top corner on Andariel to be safe to spawn her P1 :)

Fastest dclone is arcane sanctuary --> go backwards to portal above waypoint and then Fire Eye is right there. Even shorter walk, but you'll definitely load him as soon as you go through the portal backwards to the palace lol. But my question is how long does he stay loaded after you leave? Because if you go backwards, the portal will be active... Would that could the same as a tp being there? Thus he never deloads?
