Having all the shows on the same platform = good
Having the LGHDTV4K+ producers making the shows = bad

I hope the HBO shows are still done with the same care HBO has always had otherwise TV might be heading towards idiocracy.

Very concerned about the quality of the products that will be coming out. Netflix originals are significantly lower quality than most other services and it’s hard to imagine that it won’t bleed over

Also concerned with Netflix’s model of bringing movies straight to streaming and not having them in theaters. Was extremely disappointing that Frankenstein wasn’t, and will be even worse if things like dune follow

Im not sure what an acquisition like this entails. Good is Netflix has a solid platform for streaming video, and Warner has a big catalog. I'm not sure id Netflix absorbs circles of writers, etc.

Netflix productions all over the spectrum in quality, but they seem to have a lot of season 1 hits that turn into season 2 flops canceled. Hope the acquisition doesn't downgrade their current hodge podge of productions

Altered Carbon was probably one of their worse S1 to S2 screw ups

Altered carbon was a tragedy. Their mishandling of the Witcher was hugely disappointing for me. They’ve been dragging out stranger things for 2 too many seasons. The punisher had a steep drop off from s1 to s2, daredevil fell off in later seasons as well

They do not have a good track record

Here’s a paragraph on how many people might feel about Netflix buying Warner Bros. — the mix of excitement, concern, and uncertainty this kind of mega‑deal tends to generate. Many fans are excited by the idea of Netflix acquiring Warner Bros — the deal could bring a massive library of beloved films and series under one roof, making it easier to find and stream classic and new content alike.

Frankenstein and Knives Out were both in theaters in Canada. I wish for longer, but nonetheless both at least were.
