it is because andariel nightmare on classic dont drop SOJ, only hell difficulty
because LOD and CLASSIC have differently level area, so level area on andariel nightmare is lower than LOD, that way andariel dont reach level required to drop SOJ.

u can drop SOJ anywhere nightmare chaos sanctuary, even white demon can drop it. and andy hell would be easiest way to farm in your method, not andy nm.

Nightmare Andariel cannot drop SOJs in classic:

You'd need to kill NM Summoner or a higher level boss like Duriel, Mephisto or Diablo for a SOJ to drop.
